Update on Heidi (Daffodil)

Posted by Saint Lover

GOOD NEWS

I got an email from the new owners of Heidi (aka Daffodil) yesterday. I just happened to check my junk mail folder and there it was. I dont know why it would have gone there, but I marked them as not junk and wrote back. Heidi is doing great and they love her. She weighed 95 pounds when they took her to the vet on her adoption day. I knew she had grown quite a bit while I had her, but I had no idea she put on 25 pounds! I was floored. She is going to be a BIG girl… weighing 95 at 7½ months — WOW!

I am so relieved that she is settling in well and they love her. They have a vacation planned for Labor Day at their lake house in Michigan. They are looking forward to taking her and watching her run around at he lake. She is going to love it… she has enjoyed herself immensely in my pond so I am sure she will have a great time at the lake.

Hera’s meds – success!!

Posted by Saint Lover

Hera has been on her new meds for just over 24 hrs and has had 4 doses. The Proin is working like a charm! No puddles since dose 2! I couldn’t believe how well it was working so I called the vets yesterday afternoon to check in with them… he said that the Proin works really fast and is not surprised we have had such great success already. It will be fully effective with in about a week, but I am just ecstatic with how well it has worked so far!

She has been ALOT happier over the past few days, constantly wagging her tail. I know now she must have known what was going on and bothered her even though she tried not to show it. I know that sounds strange, but I truely believe it.

She is allowed to do things like getting up on the couch and bed that she has been scolded for. And she gets to lounge and sleep on her favorite pillow. Last night she even slept in our room not her crate. She was a little too restless for that. She has never really liked sleeping overnight outside of her crate and has a hard time settling down. I think she is a real den girl and prefers the safety of her “den” at night.

Looks like we are going to say good bye to spay incontinence once and for all!
