Its been a long busy week

Posted by Saint Lover

I cant believe how quickly this week has passed by. We have been so busy around here I haven’t had much time to sit down and update my blog.

First and MOST important, Heidi went to her new forever home on Wednesday afternoon. We drove about an hour to meet the couple half way. They are pleased as punch with her. She went to their vet almost immediately from the adoption to be checked out by “their guy”. The vet gave her a clean bill of health, which I expected since she had been to “my guy” 3 weeks earlier.. lol. Having lost their last one to hip displaysia I can see how they would be very leery and want to make sure they didn’t adopt a dog that was going to have serious hip issues early on. “Their guy” said she was in great shape and very healthy. They seem to really like her and I am sooo pleased. I think this is going to be a PERFECT match for her. I guess that just goes to show that one cant be too careful and holding out for the right family pays off.

Thursday was Brutus and Rufus’s “Gottcha Day” – It has been 2 years since I “got them.” I can’t believe it has been 2 years already. It seems like just yesterday they showed up at my house. I can say that it has been a wonderful 2 years and I am so thankful that I decided to take them on and keep them. I love them so much and they are such an important part of my life. I look forward to MANY MANY more “gottcha day” anniversaries.

Hera is going to the vet Tuesday morning to address her incontinence issues. It has gotten so bad and I am not sure what our options are at this point. We are going to try Proin or Incurin and see if we can help her.

  1. Dori and Boomer

I’ll say again, “Happy Gotcha” Day to the boys! I never doubted my decision to get Boomer despite his issues. He is one of the best dogs I’ve ever had. Hope you get a good workable answer for Hera. Is she seeing “Dr. McHottie”???

    HAHAHAHA! OMG Dori.. she is!

  3. Cynthia Blue

Congrats to Heidi on getting her new home. And Happy Gotcha Day to the boys!

  4. Rachael

Happy Gotcha day B and R! Heres to many many more.

Lots of positive thoughts headed Hera’s way. I hope the meds help!
