OMG Smelly Fish!!!!

We dodged another bullet with the weather. I fully expected torrential downpours and thunderstorms today and yesterday. They have held off and we had a gorgeous spring day yesterday and a cloudy morning and sunny afternoon today. The dogs have been loving it and spent plenty of time out doors. The labs came running in soaking wet and stunk! I mean STUNK to high heaven. Somewhere they found themselves a dead fish and rolled in it. And not just rolled in it, but really, really rolled in it. I about gagged. They all had to have baths and I can still smell it. – Thank dogness they Saints didn’t partake in their folly.
Why do dogs like nasty things? Why do they roll in dead things? Ugg! I swear they are some nasty pooches!

A couple of years ago I took the dogs to the lake. I kept the generic dog and Chihuahua mix on a leash thinking the Poodles could police themselves. Dumb move. They found a dead fish and immersed themselves in it. Be glad you didn’t have to descent your car.

Oh Gross Jan! And when the car heats up in the summer… ewe!!!! I had to do that with skunk the winter before and it smelled so bad in the car when it got hot and the smell started “simmering”! I cant imagine nasty hot fish in the car…blah!
omg.. we kept finding skunk smell in the house MONTHS after Targ got sprayed and came running in at 2AM rubbing his face on everything!

You got skunked too! OMG B and R got it the December before and jumped straight into the pond and ran into the house dripping skunk water. The house smelled for months and was almost unlivable for a week. Silly dogs! What would we do with out them though.
Sounds good to me! Chloe & Faith loooove to roll on dead stinky rats or anything that smells smelly…For me, I don’t really like to. I’m a clean girl!
