Bark Park Opening Day
It was a gorgeous day in the upper 60′s and sunny! We have egarly awaiting Bark Park opening for the year and I took Apollo and Hera for the day. We met up with my friend Laura and her two greyhounds Gabby and Cyder and a fellow Big Dogs Porch member Courtney and her Swissie, Greta and Pry, Jack. There were alot of dogs there and they had 10 fenced acres to run and play in. I have created a gallery of all the pictures and some of other dogs there if you want to take a gander at them.
I was really pleased there was no drama and the dogs had a good run. I think both of them had big grins on their faces the whole time. I will take Zeus with them next Saturday. I wasn’t sure what to expect so I didnt want to take too many dogs with out being able to control them (I hate when people do that – so I didn’t want to be a hypocrite). Apollo is completely zonked out.

your dog park is amazing! ours is very minimalist, a pump for water, a fence, and some tennis balls strewn around. Stranger still has a great time playing with all the dogs.

Thanks Sami… I can’t wait to go back next Saturday! Zeus is going to go with us next time too.
Amiga… you wouldn’t even believe how many dogs were there. I would say 200 at any one given time. There wasn’t any real drama between any of the dogs either. A few little scraps that was just one dog telling off another but no bites and nothing anyone had to break up. It was sooo fun! I was exhausted last night!
Amber the agility equipment is awesome. I tried to talk them into going in the tunnel and up the walk but they weren’t having any part of it. Maybe next week… lol

I can’t wait to go back on Saturday Lindsay. I keep thinking about your last post about Dog Park Aggression. I was very leery to join, but so far it has been a really pleasant experience. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
