Apollo’s Neo Paws Boots
Apollo’s Neo Paws Summer Shoes arrived in the mail yesterday. Since it rained all day we didn’t get a chance to try them out. We were blessed with sunny weather and a perfect day for the pool. I started out by putting the boots on in the house and let Apollo walk around in them.
He was not impressed at first and I was a little skeptical. I had a hard time trying to put them on correctly. He refused to stand up when I was messing with his feet. He’d flop down and roll over on his back. uggg.. silly boy. After a few minutes we finally got them on properly and he walked around like he had a corn cob up his butt… bwahahah! They seemed a little big at first but once he started moving around in them they were just fine.
Next we went outside and walked around the pool while I was skimming it. He was a little apprehensive around the water at first and finally couldn’t resist jumping in when I tossed in the beloved duckie. After that… he didn’t seem to notice them at all and he was the big yellow bomb again. The stayed on perfectly and protected his feet brilliantly! I must admit when I first opened the package I was a little disappointed but once I got them on him and saw them in action.. I am totally sold!
What a great day we had in the pool and his feet were completely protected. Thanks Neo Paws… we LOVE the boots.

Love the boots! I just might have to get Sami some. In the winter her paws are real sensitive and tend a cut easy and bleed on the bottom. She has done this atleast once each winter and I put the paw salve on them but she hates it and doesn’t like me to put it on. The boots would be perfect, let us know how they workout.
Looks like the doggies have a blast in the pool!

Amy.. I had my doubts at first but am completely impressed. They fit perfectly and after the first 30 minutes or so he didn’t even notice them. They are well worth the money and completely protected his paws today. The ones we got are strictly for summer but they make them for winter and general purpose too. We just got the summer ones because we were planning on just using them to swim. The lady that i spoke with (owner?) at the company was sooo nice and helpful, she could help you decide which ones you need.
Winter is brutal on paws and nails… Brutus almost lost his toe from the ice a year ago March… scary times.

Your house is like Nirvana. I can’t believe that my mean mom does not have a pool for me. Can you believe that? Mind you, I’m a little freaked out about jumping into water. I prefer to walk in. But I’m sure I will adapt when I come to live at your house. But do I have to wear booties? I am a nudist, you know.

Sure come on over Sophie.. you would fit right in and become a big yellow bomb in no time. You will have to wear booties if your rear nails are light colored. The pool decking eats right through them and Apollo ended up with ground down bloody nails. The dark colored nails seem to be tougher and I haven’t seen any problems yet from the other dogs.
They are working like a charm Lindsay..

We’re glad you didn’t narrow them down. They are great pictures! Especially where everybody is leaping in by the NO DIVING sign! Apollo does look really comfy with those boots on.

I’m not really sure if it does or not Biggie.. If anything it hinders him a little because he isn’t completely used to them yet. I am sure with a few more uses he will be right back where he was. I am going to have to get him front ones now too. The pads on the front are being worn and are almost raw. He was licking them this morning and I had an inspection and they look a little ouchie.
