Not so “Wordless Wednesday”

Posted by Saint Lover

I picked out this darling picture of Rufus for my regular “Wordless Wednesday” post.  But today isn’t a typical Wednesday, there is nothing wordless about what I am about to say!  I am riding the heals of yet another disaster and am absolutely exhausted physically and emotionally.  It seems like if I didn’t have bad luck lately, I’d have none at all.  I mean surely, how much is one person meant to endure?

It starts out with a case of explosive diarrhea!  Poor Zeus!  He has such a sensitive tummy and I did this to him.  I gave him some cut up steak and that sent his tummy into absolute fits and well.. now I have to have my carpets cleaned in two rooms because he wont stand still when he poops.  There is a trail all over my sons room and down the hall and one in the living room.  I could just scream because its my own darn fault!  NOTE TO SELF – stop feeding Zeus anything but his regular food!

Actually the squits is only a blip on the screen compared to what was next.  It is really just a continuation of the vehicle drama nightmare that has become my life (THIS post will get you up to speed to press).

Our cars are not fixed yet and we are still in a rental car.  Pricey, but that is just how it is.  We rented from Budget and will NEVER step foot in one of their vehicles again.  Here is the gist of what happened. Hubby is doing work in Indianapolis again and on his way out of town, he is stopped by the police for expired tags!  That’s right, the idiots rented out a car that had tags which expired 4 months ago!  Not only that, but the plates didn’t match the vehicle.  So they basically slapped a plate with expired tags on the vehicle with no current BMV record and let it rent out for months (there’s over 7000 miles on the car).

Ok.. so he gets pulled over and they impound the vehicle and leave him standing on the side of the road! I get a call and am left to sort it out with the manager at Budget.  In the “transaction” my husband’s drivers license gets misplaced… (he says they have it, they say he has it) so he can not pick up another car at a Budget in Indy.  The tow company will not release the car until it has proper and current plates/tags from Ohio so the only other option is me getting another car and I am left to drive all the way to Indianapolis to pick him up and come back home.

Now I am not a sue happy individual, but those morons offered to give me 2 days of free rental knocked off my bill.  WHAT are you kidding me! What about the ticket, the gas, the 8 hours of my life I will never have back?!  I can think of a million other things I would much rather have done with that 8 hours.  Most of them with my dogs!  And the sad part, this whole scenario is just so outrageous I wouldn’t even believe it if someone told me!  In fact, I would think they were being a drama queen.  UGGG

Please let me have some good luck!

Oh wow – that is just a horrible car story! I cannot believe that Budget thought they could pull that off! It is really sad that your husband (and YOU!) are the ones that paid for their stupidity with time, energy, etc.

And poor Zeus. That just stinks (Pun fully intended). Poor you! I’ll send some good energy your way, hoping your luck will turn to good soon!!!

That is SOOO frustrating about the car. What a terrible business. I can’t believe Budget is still in business if it tries to pull stuff like that. Great customer service…and probably illegal, too.

Oh Lora, what bad luck, it really does happen like that. You know, there is something in the atmosphere, our own struggles are different but negative energy all the same.
 Take a deep breath and as you breathe out, ask that all negativity is banished from your life.
Lots of fusses to the barkday boy & love ‘n’ strength to you.

I would say you have enough bad luck to last the rest of the year. you have convinced me not to go to Budget and also not to feed my dogs anything that they don’t normally eat.

See, you have a good influence on your readers.

Tell me about it Maggie and Mitch. I am really ready for my luck to change. I most certainly need to find a 4 leaf clover or horse shoe. Thanks for your support.

LOL Jan.. well when you put it like that… there’s a little silver lining after all… ;) .

Oh Charlie.. this does suck. The stress of everything is just starting to get to me. My front bottom teeth were hurting today and I realized I am not grinding my teeth and have worn down my lateral incisors and cuspids on the lower jaw. I keep catching myself doing it too. I am going to have to get a mouth guard now. What a pain in the ass.

Oh no! Your car problems and Zeus slopded! He likely ran around because he was scared by the missles shooting out his butt. Surely things must get better soon.

Oh my — that’s horrible !! I don’t blame you for being totally pissed at the Budget car rental — what a bunch of idiots and theyre supposed to be the professionals in the business — geez.

It’s got to get better — Here’s hoping you are on to better days and Zeus is on his way to a calmer tummy. BTW – Rufus does look adorable in that pic.

First, very cute picture of Rufus!
Next, HOLY CRAP!!!! We don’t rent cars much, but we are goin gto tell your story to lots of people that we know do rent cars! That is so messed up!!! Here you are trusting the rental company to rent you a LEGAL car and your husband almost ends up in jail!!! And to top it off they expect 2 days free rental to be good enough? They should have given you the entire rental of the old car for free since it was an ILLEGAL car!!
    HOLY CRAP!!!
I hope your cars get fixed fast!!!!!

I wish that was the case Mango, he is a poop walker – always has been – always will be. He leaves a trail of “destruction” 5 – 10 feet long! So undignified.

Thanks Nanjo. It’s hard to stay mad about anything when I look at that face :)

  24. Saint LoverNo Gravatar

Thank you Marie, i appreciate it.

Christy.. they owe me back my sanity! Hubby is dealing with it at this point. I have had more than my fair share.
