B and R Visit the Stream

Posted by Saint Lover

Its been awhile since B and R have gone on any exciting adventures so I suited up in my wellies and we headed out to the stream behind my house.  We haven’t had much rain for awhile so the water level is down quite a bit and its kinda stinky over there.  The water was cool and they boys enjoyed it.  I don’t feel confident that they wont run off together so they stayed on their gentle leaders with a splitter and I attached it to a 25ft training lead.  First we walked through the field and made a pitt stop at the retention pond.

For all you butt lovers… Nothing but butts!

I think I need to convince My Bi-Peds to get me a really really long lead … it would be so cool to be able to be that far away from them .. and they would still think they had me under control!

Thanks Cynthia. When the stream is high, there are big pools to swim in and it is about 6 feet deeper. Its been quite dry this summer.

Oh Charlie, you would love having that extra little bit of freedom. The boys were beebopping their way to the stream. It was good for them to have a little freedom. They don’t get much now that we have moved out of the old house.

hehehe, Thanks Angela. It makes me think of of that old Ricky Martin song, “shake your bon bon”

  17. Saint LoverNo Gravatar

Nope, no fishies Baylee. I think they liked just standing there in the cool water the best.

Jedi, after living on several acres with a huge fenced in area and total freedom for several years – the boys really miss having the ability to run. Giving them a little freedom felt good.

Penny, it does take awhile to dry off. I am glad they do dry off though. At our old house with the pond they were wet from March til October  stinky wet dog is not a good scent.. lol

Thanks Emily… I think I will see what I can do with it.

Ha, those two are quite the pair. I’m surprised they actually got in the water. Both of them! Must’ve been hot. I like how you rotate which dogs go out with you on all these “field trips.”
