Comment Email Responder

I was just wondering what everyone thought about my comment email responder. I try and respond to all comments left on my blog and would like some feedback. Plus I installed this nifty poll plug in and wanted to try it out

Im not a fan of getting emails, running 5 blogs at once, with an email addy that centralises all my emails to one point including 2 personal and one work email. it makes it hectic…
The blogs I comment on I read most days so I read any comments the admin or others have left.
My regular sites (across 3 domains, ie personal, self harm/mental health and dogs) are all in my google reader so i can see when someone makes a new post.
If a blog admin doesnt respond to my comments then I move on… I like blogs that are interactive,I like the sense of community, I also like commenters that get out and about…If Im writing on someones blog for a while and they dont visit then I move on…
Its not that I dont like the comment responder (u may have noticed I dont use it) & the personalised feeling… its just that my web life is so hectic that its doubling up for me to read them as an email and on the site…hope that all makes sense Saintlover….
ps love the little poll do hicky though… I think thats cause it also makes the site more interactive

I can’t believe you reply to every comment! You’re amazing! lol I like the emails when you reply to one of our comments because we don’t come back to check the comment sections.
I picked other because I do like getting comments back but I can’t imagine the time it takes to do it and we would be okay if it didn’t happen as we know you read them.

I personally like comment responder, but I only have the one blog, so I’m sure I’m not juggling all the email that some others are.

I love getting comments back from you, especially from Apollo
, but mom can’t believe you have the time. She can barely keep up with my blog, let alone visiting every one else’s. I miss the days when she worked at home and could mess around a lot.

must agree with Sew Crazy… I too love ‘Comment Luv’ and I use it as a way to get out and about and read others blogs. I had never seen it till I became a regular here, but now I look for it all the time

While I see what you are trying to do (e.g.being nice) I also don’t like receiving emails because of a comment I left. In fact, those emails tick me off and I think twice before I leave a comment on that blog again.
Also, this could be seen as spam even though you don’t intend to spam people, But unless you send emails that have been approved by an opt in list beforehand, every email can be classed as spam.
