Happy Mardi Gras – Fat Tuesday

Posted by Saint Lover

When I was younger and lived in the South West I celebrated Mardi Gras every year.  I guess since its warmer there (its 22°F right now) its easier to have Mardi Gras parties, who knows.  But since moving north, no one even mentions it.  But true to my roots, I celebrate it at home.  Not in a traditional way mind you, I celebrate with my dogs.  I dress up Brutus and Rufus in flashy Mardi Gras attire and photograph them. How do you celebrate Mardi Gras?

Happy Fat Tuesday!

BOL! Love the feathery mask and the jester looking mask. :) We don’t really celebrate Mardi Gras here but maybe Mom will give me some extra treats tonight. :)

You should organize a dog parade. I did a post about a humane society that held one in Alabama. Seems like a great idea.

How cute!!! We don’t celebrate here. Mom said she went to a Mardi Gras party once a long time ago, but she hasn’t known anybody to have once since.

    Hey Lora,
Just looked at your mardi gras pictures, too cute. What did your family do to celebrate Mardi Gras in Tucson? Did you have parties with brad and marci? Sounds like fun memories!
We went to New Orleans a couple times for Jazz Fest to watch my brother play music. Its a great town, and the food is to die for!!! Well, hope you have a good week.
    Take care, Jenny
